What is a David Bowie tribute show?

A tribute show is a live performance devoted to one artist and his songs. Ours is David Bowie, the chameleon of rock, who reinvented himself again and again, from Ziggy Stardust to Blackstar. We do not try to be Bowie. We play his songs in our own arrangements, with the energy of a live rock band, and add violin, saxophone and percussion that give the songs another color.

Many tribute shows focus on recreating the sound or the look. We chose to focus on the man: what Bowie went through when he wrote each song, and how his inner world shaped the music.

A special show: music and story in one evening

Between songs we stop and tell. About the characters Bowie created and left behind, the psychology behind the changes, and the way he read himself and the world. Each song is heard as a chapter in a story, and the audience leaves not only having heard Bowie, but understanding him.

That is what turns the night from an ordinary cover show into a special show: songs you know, performed live and with power, and a story you have not heard.

Who is on stage

From glam to Blackstar: the journey of the show

The show moves through Bowie's eras: the glam of Ziggy Stardust, the Berlin years, the pop of Let's Dance, and the experimental sound of his last years. Songs the band has performed include Starman, Moonage Daydream, Five Years, Ziggy Stardust, Heroes and Let's Dance.

You can read the background to each era in our guide David Bowie: his life, eras and songs and in Ziggy Stardust: the album and the character.
